On the other hand, Go Eun Chan, played by Yoon Eun Hye, is a 24-year old tomboyish female who gets mistaken as a guy quite often. Han Kyul, not knowing that Eun Chan is actually a girl, decides to hire Eun Chan as a false "lover" so that he can escape the blind dates arranged by his grandmother. Meanwhile, Han Kyul's cousin, Choi Han Seong, is an established music producer and his ex-girlfriend Han Yoo Joo, who Han Kyul secretly loved for nine years, is a famous artist who studied in New York. The two were lovers for about 8 years but their relationship ended when Yoo Joo broke up with Han Seong. Two years after they separated their paths cross again when Yoo Joo returns to Seoul. After getting an ultimatum from his grandmother, Han Kyul takes over a run-down old coffee shop, later renamed Coffee Prince, to prove his ability, both to his grandmother and Yoo Joo. In order to attract female customers, he only hires good looking male employees. In a struggle with money, Eun Chan, whom Han Kyul has already mistaken as a boy, hides her gender identity to get a job at Coffee Prince. Soon feelings start to spark between Eun Chan and Han Kyul. Because he's unaware that Eun Chan is a girl, Han Kyul starts to question his sexuality.

Comments: God. Great drama, and I would recommend everyone to watch this drama, its pretty amazing. You will laugh, cry, and maybe even fall in love! I think the relationship between Han Kyul and Eun Chan shows us the deeper meaning of what is it like to being in love with someone that you wouldn't care what they are, sacrificing your dreams for them and letting them go to fulfill their dream. It is very sweet and I would totally watch it again in the future. I highly recommend this series! <3

Comments: Oh goodness. My most favorite Filipino drama ever! This sparked my interest with Gerald Anderson (which I think is totally handsome.) and I also like Kim Chiu as one of my favorite Filipino actresses. Make one a hell of a good love team if I do say so myself. The character Camille was a freaking beeotch at first in this, I hated her and her mother. They The drama was great and it was romantic, not much violence involved in it considering that many romantic Filipino dramas have “guns” in them now. The soundtrack was awesome. Yes this drama is a win :) my favorite!

Home Along da Riles

Alternative Title: The House along the Railroad
Country of Origin: Philippines
Language: Filipino/Tagalog
Type: Drama
Genre: Comedy, Life
Watched: TFC
Episodes: N/A
Rating:

Summary: Home Along Da Riles or translated in English, The House Along the Railroad Tracks, is a family situation comedy depicting the lives of a typical Filipino family living beside the railroad tracks. The Kosmes are poor and as a running gag, their house looks as if it will fall apart anytime the train passes by. The income of Kevin (played by Dolphy), the main character in this funny sitcom, barely meets the need of his five children and yet they are happy, content and has a very positive outlook in life. The target audience of the show is the average Filipino family whom we want to entertain and at the same time, put across positive and good Filipino values. Viewers see the Kosmes and they empathize with the characters - the joys and the woes of the Kosmes are their joys and woes too. Life as a low-income earner in the Philippines is very difficult and full of problems and that's what is shown in the program but amidst all the troubles that come along the way, the laughter spices it up. And we hope that in our own small way, as we reach Filipinos across the country and around the world, we are able to give them laughter and values.

Comments: My very first Filipino drama and I still love it. I laugh and cried watching this series. I am so sad that they don’t show it anymore, but probably very old episodes. I am a fan of Dolphy and so I really loved this series. And on the plus side it will teach you moral lessons. This reminds me of the good old days. I miss watching this a lot :[
